The Health Center at Forest Hill Manor is now accepting private pay residents from Monterey Peninsula communities. The personalized care and the private rooms and baths please both the residents and their families who say this is the most beautiful nursing care center they’ve seen with  fine, thoughtful care by a very compassionate staff.  Call the Administrator at (831) 646-6483 for more information.

Plans  for the Atrium Fitness Center are now on display at the Manor. When completed, the 1,000 square foot  fitness center will house the latest exercise equipment specifically designed for seniors, room for group exercises and Tai Chi.

With the advice of the Residents’ Garden Committee, one of the leading landscape architects in the area has developed plans for redeveloping the gardens and landscaping surrounding the buildings. Plans call for changes to the landscaping, (adding plants and shrubbery, with special attention to the microclimates), adding walkways, repositioning the main sign at Forest and Gibson, adding a new sign at Sinex and Forest, and renovating the Forest Avenue fence.

If you’ve been delaying making the move to a retirement community because of the entrance fee, now’s the time to Think Again. In recognition of the economic picture nationally, entrance fees at Forest Hill Manor have been reduced significantly. These new fees will allow you and your family to enjoy the peace of mind from knowing that you’ve taken the first step toward preparing for future health care at an attractive price.  You may also select the entrance fee option that is best for your estate: choose the Classic Amortized option or the 90% Deferred Repayment option that returns most of your entrance fee to you or to your estate.

Currently, you may choose from several types of apartments with a range of entrance fees AND monthly fees that may be  more affordable for you. Coupled with the tax advantages of a CCRC and the benefits of living in a non-profit community where you’ll be able to predict your future monthly expenses, you’ll be in control of your future today.
